Estudantes com altas habilidades/superdotação e a inteligência lógico matemática : um caminho para a valorização do seu potencial

Abstract

RESUMO: O principal objetivo desta pesquisa foi discutir alternativas de valorização do potencial dos alunos com Altas Habilidades/Superdotação (AH/SD) e a Inteligência Lógico-Matemática (ILM) do Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo (Ifes Campus Vitória) e, para isso, foi necessário aprofundar conhecimentos das temáticas abordadas. O referencial teórico tem fundamentos em estudos dos termos e das linguagens utilizadas para denominar esses indivíduos e as concepções de inteligência. Além disso, no decorrer da leitura, algumas expressões e personagens comuns à história do clássico infantil Peter Pan foram apresentados. A finalidade foi potencializar as múltiplas interpretações da temática abordada, tendo em vista que muitos acreditam que o estudante com AH/SD é um “ser” muito diferente dos demais, com “poderes”, “encantado” ou, até mesmo, que não existe. Para desmistificar essa concepção, o apoio foi Vigotski para tratar das AH/SD sob a ótica histórico-cultural, pois as AH/SD são condições construídas pela interação de fatores biológicos com as experiências mediadas com o ambiente. As discussões pertinentes quanto à identificação dos estudantes sujeitos da pesquisa foram subsidiadas pelo Modelo de Identificação das Portas Giratórias, criado por Renzulli. A pesquisa foi conduzida sob uma abordagem de observação atuante com o objetivo de promover mudanças intencionais em nosso cenário de investigação. Foi relevante a utilização de questionários e o diário de itinerância como técnicas de produção de dados. Assim, nossos resultados revelaram a urgente necessidade da promoção de um trabalho sistematizado e intencional com esses estudantes, com a finalidade de desenvolver suas habilidades, destacando como produto educativo a elaboração de um Guia de Atividades voltado para o trabalho com esses estudantes. ABSTRACT: The main objective of this research was to discuss alternatives for enhancing the potential of students with High Skills / Giftedness (AH / SD) and the Logic-Mathematical Intelligence (ILM) of the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (Ifes Campus Vitória) and, for this, it was It is necessary to deepen knowledge of the topics addressed. The theoretical framework is based on studies of terms and languages used to name these individuals and the conceptions of intelligence. In addition, throughout the reading, some expressions and characters common to the story of the classic children's Peter Pan were presented. The purpose was to enhance the multiple interpretations of the theme, considering that many believe that the student with AH / SD is a "being" very different from others, with "powers", "enchanted" or even that does not exist. To demystify this conception, Vigotski's support was to deal with HA / SD from the historical-cultural perspective, since HA / SD are conditions constructed by the interaction of biological factors with experiences mediated with the environment. The pertinent discussions regarding the identification of the research subjects were subsidized by the Revolving Doors Identification Model, created by Renzulli. The research was conducted under an active observation approach aiming to promote intentional changes in our research scenario. It was relevant to use questionnaires and the roaming diary as data production techniques. Thus, our results revealed the urgent need to promote systematic and intentional work with these students in order to develop their skills, highlighting as an educational product the development of an Activity Guide focused on working with these students.
