Análise de conteúdo estomacal do Cerdorcyon thous de vida livre no Espírito Santo

Abstract

RESUMO: O presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar e compreender a dieta alimentar do Cerdocyon thous, conhecido popularmente por Cachorro-do-mato. Como método para realização e melhor obtenção dos dados a serem analisados, foi utilizado o cálculo de Frequência de Ocorrência (FO), possibilitando a compreensão da base alimentar do animal e a riqueza alimentar disponível na região de estudo. Os resultados encontrados foram favoráveis a demais estudos realizados com a espécie, demostrando uma vasta variação alimentar para o animal na região. Como resultado, também foi possível estabelecer uma relação entre a espécie e o ambiente urbano, enfatizando a problemática do crescimento das áreas antropizadas.

ABSTRACT: The present work aims to analyze and understand the diet of Cerdocyon thous, popularly known as Cachorro-do-mato. As a method for carrying out and better obtaining the data to be analyzed, the calculation of Frequency of Occurrence (FO) was used, enabling the understanding of the animal's food base and the food richness available in the study region. The results found were favorable to other studies carried oudrivt with the species, demonstrating a vast dietary variation for the animal in the region. As a result, it was also possible to establish a relationship between the species and the urban environment, emphasizing the problem of the growth of anthropized areas.
