Caracterização da pesca de espinhel no município de Piúma – Espírito Santo

Abstract

RESUMO: Descrever uma determinada frota pesqueira resulta em montar uma imagem sucinta, que representa a maioria das embarcações e modalidade de pesca que a grande maioria emprega em uma região. A pesca artesanal é conhecida por ter como característica uma produção de pequena e média escala, porém emprega cerca de 90% dos pescadores sendo responsável por metade da captura mundial de pescado extrativista. O trabalho propôs uma análise dos dados produzidos referente ao município de Piúma-ES com intuito de caracterizar a pesca de espinhel da frota pesqueira, espécie alvo, produções pesqueiras e locais de desembarque da pesca no local. O trabalho foi realizado através de entrevistas em locais de desembarques e sempre direcionada aos mestres das embarcações de pesca com espinhel. O estudo sobre a frota pesqueira de espinhel de Piúma revelou que ocorre uma variedade de artes de pesca na modalidade de espinhel: espinhel vertical/pargueira: tem como espécie-alvo a peroá (Balistes capriscus) e produção pesqueira de 30.481kg; espinhel de superfície: tem como espécie-alvo o dourado (Coryphaena hippurus) e produção pesqueira de 20.270kg; espinhel de meia-água: espécie-alvo o meca (Xiphias gladius) e a produção de 87.785kg; espinhel de fundo: a espécie mais produzida foi o batata (Lopholatilus Vilarii) e a produção registrou 15.497kg. Foram identificados seis portos que se destacaram em relação aos outro em produção pesqueira. Foi observado que 100% das embarcações amostradas em Piúma são constituídas de madeira (casco). Possuem a casaria localizada na popa deixando a proa com espaço para a prática da pesca independente do petrecho de pesca. Não foi observado embarcações com a casaria na proa. Piúma produziu ao longo de um ano 154.033kg de pescado, e apresentou a ocorrência de 82 espécies diferentes nos desembarques.

ABSTRAT: Characterizing a given fishing fleet results in a short picture, which represents most of the vessels and the fishing modality most of which use in a region (FAO, 2009). Small-scale fishing is known to have small and medium-scale production characteristics, but employs about 90% of fishermen and accounts for half of the world's catch of extractive fish. The work proposed an extraction of the data referring to the municipality of Piúma in order to characterize the fishing fleet of the fishing fleet, target species, fishing productions and local fishing landing sites. The study on the Piúma fishing fleet revealed that there is a variety of fishing gear in the form of a vertical / pargue spinach: it has as a target species the species and fishery production of 30,481kg; surface longline: has as its target species gold and fish production of 20,270kg; mid-water shin: target species the mecca and the production of 87,785kg; bottom spinach: the most produced species was the potato and production recorded 15,497kg. Six ports were identified that stood out in relation to the others in fishing production. It was observed that 100% of the boats sampled in Piúma are made of wood (hull). They have the house located at the stern leaving the bow with space to practice fishing independent of the fishing gear, no vessels with the house in the bow were observed. Piúma produced 147,000kg of fish during the study, and presented the occurrence of 82 different species in the landings. The lack of scientific productions related to the theme presented and fishery data on Piúma makes it difficult to discuss the themes addressed in this study.
