ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to analyze the financial behavior of the consumer during a pandemic. A descriptive and quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted based on primary data. Data were collected through the questionnaire applied to 743 respondents who indicated their behaviors before and during the Covid pandemic19. The information was analyzed using descriptive statistics. Among the findings, there was a change in behavior among consumers, suggesting that the Covid19 pandemic interfered with the consumer's financial behavior. The main change was noted in the financial impulsivity factor, followed by financial tension. On the other hand, financial management presented very close results in both periods, indicating that the care and practices that were taken by individuals before the pandemic continued during the pandemic period as well. This suggests that during a pandemic, consumers tend to decrease financial impulsiveness and increase tension, reflecting on the change in their financial behavior.
