RIO DOCE EM UMA PERSPECTIVA CTSA: PROPOSTA DE SEQUÊNCIA DIDÁTICA

Abstract

O presente trabalho apresenta a construção e a validação de uma Sequência Didática (SD) de ensino baseada nos Três Momentos Pedagógicos (3MP): Problematização Inicial (PI), Organização do Conhecimento (OC) e Aplicação do Conhecimento (AC). A SD tem por objetivo auxiliar na Alfabetização Científica (AC) por meio da temática do desastre ambiental de Mariana, que levou ao depósito de rejeitos de mineração no Rio Doce, fato recente de grande relevância ambiental, social, científica, tecnológica e econômica. Esse tema é proposto por meio da abordagem Ciência, Tecnologia, Sociedade e Ambiente (CTSA) a partir da pergunta problematizadora: “Como a contaminação do Rio Doce pelo rejeito de mineração proveniente do desastre de Mariana impactou e ainda impacta a nossa vida?”, que vai ser discutida ao longo da SD por meio de dinâmicas de grupo, vídeos informativos, reportagens e a construção de uma entrevista com pessoas atingidas pelo desastre. Em seguida, a SD foi validada por professores da educação básica que fazem parte da Especialização em Educação e Divulgação em Ciências (EDIV) do Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo (Ifes) campus Vila Velha. A validação apontou aspectos relevantes para a SD, como a modificação de algumas dinâmicas, o número de aulas, os objetivos de aprendizagem e a forma como os alunos receberão o retorno das avaliações. A partir das contribuições dos professores, a SD foi aprimorada a fim de que seja usada em escolas da região atingida pelo desastre.

This work presents the construction and validation of a Didactic Sequence (DS) based on Three Pedagogical Moments (3PM), Inicial Problematization (IP), Knowledge Organization (KO), and Application Organization (AO). The DS objective is to assist in Scientific Literacy (SL) through the teme of Mariana environmental disaster, which led to the mining tailings disposal in the Rio Doce, a recent fact, with great environmental, social, scientific, technological, and economic importance. This theme is proposed through Science, Technology, Social, and Environmental (STSE) approach to the problematization question: "How has the Rio Doce contamination by mining tailings from the Mariana disaster impacted and still impacts our lives?", that will be the answer belong the DS through group dynamics, informative videos, reports and the interview building with people affected by the disaster. In sequence, the DS was validated by basic education teachers that are part of Especialização em Educação e Divulgação em Ciências (EDIV) of the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo Vila Velha campus. The validation pointed out relevant aspects of the DS, like the modification of some dynamics, the number of classes, knowledge objectives, and the feedback of evaluations. From the contributions of the teachers, the DS was enhanced to be used in schools in the region hit by environmental disasters.
