MODELAGEM EM EDUCAÇÃO MATEMÁTICA: TRABALHANDO A CONSCIENTIZAÇÃO DO BULLYING COM ALUNOS DA EJA POR MEIO DA MATEMÁTICA

Abstract

O presente artigo apresenta uma pesquisa qualitativa que se configurou em um estudo de caso etnográfico, desenvolvida com alunos da 8ª Etapa da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) em uma escola estadual do município de Pedro Canário/ES. O principal objetivo da pesquisa foi investigar as possibilidades existentes em se trabalhar o tema Bullying nas aulas de Matemática permitindo uma conexão entre a realidade e a Matemática. Utilizou-se para tanto, a Modelagem Matemática na concepção defendida por Barbosa (2001.b). Como resultados obtidos, o trabalho evidenciou a importância de se trabalhar o Bullying na escola e a possibilidade de se investigar o tema com os alunos desenvolvendo em paralelo conteúdos de estatísticas como coleta, organização e representação de dados por meio de gráficos construídos com o auxílio de planilhas eletrônicas.

This article presents a qualitative research that took the form of an ethnographic case study, developed with students from the 8th Stage of Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in a state school in the municipality of Pedro Canário/ES. The main objective of the research was to investigate the existing possibilities in working the Bullying theme in Mathematics classes, allowing a connection between reality and Mathematics. For this purpose, Mathematical Modeling was used in the conception defended by Barbosa (2001.b). As results obtained, the work highlighted the importance of working on Bullying at school and the possibility of investigating the topic with students developing in parallel statistical content such as collection, organization and representation of data through graphs built with the help of electronic spreadsheets.
