Aplicação de ferramentas para controle de estoque em uma lavanderia da Grande Vitória

Abstract

RESUMO: O objetivo principal desse trabalho é identificar e aplicar as ferramentas necessárias para melhoria do controle de estoque de uma lavanderia industrial da grande vitória. Essa lavanderia possui mais de 50 anos de trajetória, mas durante esse tempo nunca definiu corretamente os locais de armazenagem dos insumos utilizados durante o processo, tão pouco, padronizou os métodos de compras e controle de estoque. A motivação para realizar tal estudo, foi a oportunidade de poder aplicar ferramentas de melhoria no processo de aquisição e estocagem dos insumos da empresa. Por ter interferido de modo cooperativo, a pesquisadora classifica esse trabalho como uma pesquisa-ação. Durante o estudo, duas ferramentas indicadas para implantação, o 5S e o Kanban. Essas ferramentas foram escolhidas com o objetivo padronizar o processo de compra e armazenagem de insumos, de maneira coerente, organizada e clara, perante todos. Isto com a visão baseada na diminuição dos desperdícios, dessa forma diminuir custos. Após a implantação das ferramentas foi possível observar a diminuição dos eventos apontados como desperdícios, como parada de produção devido à falta de material e compra de insumos mais caros devido a urgência. Assim, pode-se concluir que os objetivos traçados foram alcançados.

ABSTRACT: The main objective of this work is to identify and apply the necessary tools to improve the inventory control of an industrial laundry in the Grande Vitória area. This laundry has been active for well over 50 years but during all this time it has never correctly defined the storage locations for the supplies used during the process, nor standardized it’s methods of purchasing and inventory control. The motivation to carry out this study was the opportunity to apply the right tools to improve the company's process of purchasing and storing supplies. For having interfered in a cooperative way, the researcher classifies this work as an action research. During the study two tools are essencial for implementation. They are called 5S and Kanban. These tools were chosen with the objective of standardizing the process of purchasing and storing inputs, in a coherent, organized and clear manner for everyone. Therefore with the reduction of waste we expect to cut down costs. After the implementation of the tools it was possible to observe the reduction of events such as waste, production interruptions due to lack of material and purchase of expensive inputs due to urgency whenever inventory was low. With all that information it can be concluded that the objectives set were achieved.
