Estudo sobre tipos de investimentos do mercado financeiro brasileiro: perfil dos estudantes dos cursos de graduação e dos servidores públicos do Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo campus Colatina

Abstract

RESUMO: Em função da complexidade e diversidade de investimentos existentes nos diferentes mercados, dentre eles o mercado financeiros, que este estudo buscou na literatura existente conceituar temas como seguimentos de mercado e tipos de investimentos, com vistas a identificar quais os investimentos mais utilizados pelos servidores públicos e os alunos dos cursos de graduação ofertados pelo IFES campus Colatina. Para alcançar o objetivo participaram da pesquisa 169 pessoas que responderam um questionário composto por dezenove questões, em que notou-se que há uma preferência por parte desses investidores pela caderneta de poupança, investimento esse que oferece baixo risco de perda e por isso, também, uma menor taxa de retorno, características estas que apontam para um perfil de investidor conservador. Depreende-se que para alavancar a rentabilidade faz-se necessário ampliar o entendimento sobre investimentos, logo, a educação financeira cumpre o papel principal e indispensável para esse desenvolvimento, já que, pelas informações trazidas na pesquisa viabilizada pelo questionário, verifica-se que a margem e a qualidade dos investimentos realizados pela população ligada ao IFES estão diretamente relacionadas ao nível de formação e perícia na área. Outrossim, os dados apontam que a medida em que cresce o nível de escolaridade, cresce o número de investidores nos níveis escolares. Ao passo em que ocorre uma relação inversamente proporcional, onde quanto menor a escolaridade, menor o número de investidores no nível escolar.

Abstract: Due to the complexity and diversity of investments in different markets, including the financial market, this study sought in the existing literature to conceptualize themes such as market segments and types of investments, in order to identify which investments are most used by public servants and the students of the undergraduate courses offered by the IFES Colatina campus. In order, 169 people participated in the survey, who answered a questionnaire consisting of nineteen questions, in which it was noted that there is a preference on the part of these investors for the savings account, an investment that offers low risk of loss and therefore, too, a lower rate of return, characteristics that point to a conservative investor profile. It appears that to leverage profitability it is necessary to broaden the understanding of investments, therefore, financial education plays the main and indispensable role for this development, since, from the information provided in the survey made possible by the questionnaire, it appears that the margin and the quality of investments made by the population connected to IFES are directly related to the level of training and expertise in the area. Furthermore, the data indicate that as the level of education grows, the number of investors at school levels grows. While there is an inversely proportional relationship, where the lower the level of education, the smaller the number of investors at the level of education.
